The White House releases a list of 37 donors to Trump's $300 million ballroom

The White House began demolition of the East Wing this week as part of a new ballroom construction project funded by 37 donors, Fortune reported.

The estimated cost of the 90,000-square-foot facility rose to $300 million, $100 million more than the July estimate of $200 million, the report said.

According to documents reviewed by Fortune, the list of donors includes some of America's largest technology companies, corporations with government contracts and members of the Trump administration. Private contributions will be passed on as tax-deductible donations through the nonprofit Trust for the National Mall.

White House officials did not disclose the individual donation amounts of any donors listed. While Trump had previously stated that he would personally contribute to the project, his name does not appear on the donor list, the report said.
