Washington, May 30, 2025 – The telecommunications and construction companies Tilson applied for insolvency protection in Chapter 11, citing financial hardship, on Thursday, which was triggered by the abrupt cancellation of main contracts with Gigapower, a joint venture between AT&T and Blackrock.
In a court registration on Thursday, Tilson claims that Gigapower did not pay bills of almost 20 million US dollars with fiber construction projects in Arizona and Nevada. The company said that Gigapower informed it about a “material violation” in March.
Three weeks later, Gigapower terminated the entire building in Arizona under a clause “for convenience” – a determination that enables the parties to leave contracts without guilt.
