Perrysburg-Toledo helps Ukraine (Thu) launched its new humanitarian initiative from surplus to survival to collect and care for critical help for the Ukraine torn by the war. The campaign focuses on new, excess and disused objects – in particular medical care and emergency equipment – to support Ukraine in the third year of the war.

“Over 14.5 million Ukrainians, more than 40% of the Ukraine population, still urgently need humanitarian aid, including 800,000 children who live near the frontline,” said President Alona Mathenko.

“This campaign supports both the USA and Ukraine,” said Alona. “From excess to survival, an intercontinental humanitarian initiative with a double mission is: gently used, excess or disused objects from American houses and companies to convert and to deliver new essentials on purpose and care.”

Thu previously shipped over $ 260,000 of expired but usable medical care and donated fire equipment. The non -profit organization calls on individuals and companies to contribute three important ways:

The recognized objects donate: Batteries, flashlights, generators, canned food and dry food (rice, barley, buckwheat, peas). Sleeping bags, tents, tarpaulins, ifak-first-aid kits, tactical gloves, work boots, power tools and high-performance socks.

Donations are accepted in the Lutheran Church of the Master, 28744 Simmons Road, Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to June 30th.

Companies are asked to donate excess or disused inventory such as expired (but usable) medical care, disused police/fire equipment, excess building materials.

Toledo helps Ukraine to also ask for help with covering the shipping costs of 6,000 to 9,000 US dollars. Donate at tinyurl.com/26hfsbhf or by post: Toledo helps Ukraine, Postfach 634, 1205 Louisiana Ave, Perrysburg, OH 43552
