** The farmers in Oregon say that the new rules for the accommodation of agricultural workers are not affordable and could lead to a shortage of labor, while supporters from agricultural workers say that the rules do not take all their concerns into account.

The current regulations do not stipulate that the accommodations of agricultural workers have to have a kitchen, although Osha officials from Oregon say that most of the state's work accommodation have a kind of kitchen facility.

Other changes require that houses in the bedrooms must have at least 50 square meters per bed instead of 40.

** Many agricultural groups congratulate President Donald Trump after being officially sworn in as a 47th president.

Kenneth Hartman, President of the National Corn Growers Association, says we look forward to working with him in order to promote topics that are important for the country's maize farmers.

The President of the National Milk Producers Federation, Gregg Doud, says he strives to deal with working on a number of challenging topics.

** 427 national and state agricultural groups and agricultural companies sent a letter to the head of the Senate agricultural committee, in which they support Brooke Rollin as agricultural minister.

The groups stated that they represent farmers, cattle breeders, breeders, hunters, forest owners, nature conservationists, cooperatives, state agricultural ministries, manufacturers of renewable fuel and agricultural companies across the country.

Rollins comes from Glen Rose, Texas and is the founder and CEO of the America First Policy Institute and America First Works.
