Start your summer by participating in two popular events, Commuter Challenge and Bike to Work Day. These long-standing traditions celebrate active and sustainable travel methods and encourage us to attempt to get new ways to get on campus.
Commuter challenge
Reduce your emissions by traveling with other employees, faculties and students on campus with carpools, bicycles, transit, on foot or from working from home (approved there) on campus. Now in the 25th year you can register for the Commuter Challenge on the new Gomb website of Green Action Center, on which the participants can create a free user account with their UM -E email, be able to pursue and enter their kilometers of sustainable transport in order to gain great local prizes.

Bicycle to the working day
Get up bright and early and snap your bike and U-Lock for the bicycle to work on Tuesday, June 10th, coordinated by Winnipeg on Tuesday, June 10th.
Take a look at the fort Garry Pit Stop, which is organized by the Office for Sustainability, Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, Umsu and Umcycle Bike Kiosk to get a few snacks and win prizes. Get minor repairs on site this year with the friendly approval of Umcycle and register your bike free of charge with 529 garage to prevent bicycle theft and help with recovery.
