A company in Australia says it has developed a 3D printing robot that could revolutionize building on Earth or even the moon in the future.
Charlotte is a semi-autonomous robot prototype that can create structures and design features such as curves, arches and domes in a way that overcomes the limitations of traditional construction techniques.
Charlotte developer Earthbuilt Technology says the technology significantly reduces construction costs and can help make the industry green and carbon-free.
“In particular, Charlotte and Earthbuilt, the core technology in Charlotte, is going to be a game changer all over the world. This will make building really, really cheap,” says Jan Golembiewski, CEO and co-founder of Earthbuilt.
